CLASS DESCRIPTION

The classes are based on Integral Yoga.

Culmination of the teachings by Swami Sivananda, his disciples Swami Satchinanda and Swami Satyananda. I also draw from the divine inspirations and teachings of Babaji of Ganesh Puri, with whom I had the pleasure of living and learning, in a tranquil silent setting.

 

These teachings facilitate an easeful body, a peaceful mind, a useful life, and, ultimately, the realization of one's true Self.  Interfaith harmony  where all  world's faith is respected is encouraged.  

 

The vision and goal of these ancient teachings is to promote peace in the individual, to bring out their best version. Individual transformation unfolds global transformation.

 

Classes vary  with the group's ability. I aim at following a basic guideline but strive to keep it organic and go with the flow.

 

Monday Class AM - Easy stretch and energy work

Tuesday Class AM - Basic form of Sivanada style

Tuesday Class PM - strength and wisdom

Wedneday Class AM- Flow class

Thursday Class AM - Energy focus

Sat and Sun  - vary

 

Group is an opportunity to practice a  series of movements and meditation, that works on the level of the body and mind; bringing the spirit to light. The movements are based on nature's rhythms, that help you find relief from stress and anxiety and move into a state of well being. As you practice your range of flexibility and strength increases.

 

Meditation is based on transcendental sounds (mantras- yoga) that draw upon ancient wisdom; proven by modern science. The healing vibrations resonate within the body and have profound benefits on the mind. You will blossom to discover a happiness of the heart.

 

Have fun as you explore healing energies that are inherent with us.

 

Please wear loose comfortable clothing and arrive on time. Kindly avoid heavy meals before class and excessive perfume.
